However, La Petite Maison's owners, Pauline Smith and Chris Williams, live nearby and are able to ensure that all your practical needs will be catered for in a flexible and sensitive way. Everything is designed to provide the best writing environment tailored entirely to your individual needs.



Pauline and Chris moved to Brittany in April 2008 from North Devon. Pauline is a writer, researcher and creative writing tutor. She is also a former Relief Centre Director for the Arvon Foundation, the prestigious United Kingdom organisation providing residential writing courses. "Although you can't always work in a vacuum, most writers say how much they long for a period of solitude, to be alone with their work and to immerse themselves in it,' she says. "That is exactly what we offer here at La Petite Maison."
